Helping Define the Future of Healthcare in Israel
Stanford Biodesign Fellow Dr. Leor Perl is simultaneously advancing clinical care, building an innovation ecosystem inside Rabin Medical Center, and driving a start-up developing the world’s first in-heart digital sensor.
After completing the Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship, Dr. Leor Perl returned to Israel and resumed his work as an interventional cardiologist while launching an internal innovation hub that empowers clinicians to develop solutions to unmet medical needs. His Innovation Laboratory has already evaluated more than 100 needs, produced patents, and forged partnerships with academia, industry, and elite Israeli engineering talent. In parallel, Perl serves as medical director of Vectorious Medical Technologies, guiding the development of an implantable micro-computer that enables early detection and treatment of heart failure — illustrating how one physician can shape the clinical, educational, and technological future of healthcare.
